say that five times fast. wire-ply firefly copper corespun yarn! it's a corespun yarn from an art batt. see that blob laying across the carder? that's an art batt from atomic blue. I wanted it slightly more carded for part of it, so i stripped part of it out and recarded it. then, a lot of magic happened. i corespun the yarn onto a fingering weight 100% peruvian wool base, then i spiral and coil plyed it the other direction with enamel-coated 32 gauge copper wire that mike found at weird stuff. i ended up with a nice thick-thin bulky weight. i'm very pleased with the resulting yarn. |
